This Online Banking Policy explains how Santa Barbara Teachers Federal Credit Union ("Credit Union," "us," "our," "we") may collect, share, use and protect information when you visit our online/mobile banking services. This policy covers our services, including our website, online banking, and mobile banking application ("Services").

- Our online services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

Information we collect
Personal Information
When you use or enroll in our online/mobile banking services, we may collect personally identifiable information from or about you such as your name, address, email address, account number, usernames, telephone number(s). We may also collect payment card information, social security number, driver's license number (or comparable) when you provide such information while using our online services and where we believe it is reasonably required for ordinary business process.
Usage and Other Information
In addition to the personal information described above, we may collect certain information about your use of our online services. For example, we may capture the IP address of the device you use to connect to the online service, the type of operating system and browser you use, and the parts of our online service you access. We may also use cookies, web beacons or other technologies to collect and store other information about your visit to, or use of, our online services.
Mobile Banking
Santa Barbara Teachers FCU offers you the ability to access your account through our mobile application. When you access your accounts using our mobile app, we may collect device data, such as your mobile device's operating system type and version, manufacturer and model, device type, and IP address.
We may also request access to information stored on your device, such as:
- Location - Will only be used to provide you with branch and ATM locations near you.
- Camera - Will only be used when taking a picture to add an image to a transaction, to capture images of checks that are being deposited, or to add a photo to your profile.
- Photos - Will only be used to add an image to a transaction, to attach a document or photo to a conversation, or to add a photo to your profile.
It is important for you to understand that:
- Before granting access to this information, you will be prompted to give the application that permission.
- If you do not wish to grant that permission, you may decline.
- If you later change your mind, those permissions can be updated in your device's settings.
Use of Information
We use the information discussed above in several ways, such as:
- Processing applications and transactions
- Verifying your identity and location (such as when you access your account information)
- Preventing fraud and enhancing the security of your account or our online services
- Responding to your requests and communicating with you
- Managing your preferences
- Performing analytics concerning your use of our online services, including your responses to our communications and the pages you view
- Providing you tailored content and marketing messages
- Operating, evaluating, and improving our business (including developing new products and services, improving existing products and services, performing data analytics, and performing accounting, auditing, and other internal functions)

- Santa Barbara Teachers FCU's third-party service providers (currently, this information is only shared with our core system provider)
- Other third parties to comply with legal requirements such as the demand of applicable subpoenas and court orders and to address fraud, security, or technical issues
We will limit sharing of your information in accordance with our general Privacy Policy Notice.
We may share anonymous or aggregated information with third parties to help deliver products, services, and content that are better tailored to the users of our online services and for other purposes.
Your Responsibility for Information
You are responsible for providing Santa Barbara Teachers FCU with accurate and updated information. If you are using SBTFCU's Online/Mobile Banking, you have the means to review and maintain your details. To update, simply navigate to the Personal Settings screen. Here you can modify your profile picture, preferred name, email, phone numbers, and street address.
You can also update your information by visiting any one of our branches.
Linking to Third-Party Websites
Santa Barbara Teachers FCU may provide links to websites that are owned by other companies ("third-party websites"). When you use a link online to visit a third-party website, you will be subject to that website's privacy and security practices, which may differ from ours. You should familiarize yourself with the privacy policy, terms of use and security practices of the linked third-party website before providing any information on that website.
Security
Your privacy is very important to Santa Barbara Teachers Federal Credit Union, and we are committed to protecting your personal information from unauthorized access or use. We will use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to safeguard personal information within our organization against theft, loss, and unauthorized access, use, modification, and disclosure. Although we do our best to secure your personal information, no date transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
You are also responsible for data security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for the security of your devices and internet connection. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately.
Changes to this Privacy Notice
We may change this Online Privacy Policy from time to time to accommodate new technologies, industry practices, regulatory requirements or for other purposes. When we do, we will let you know by appropriate means such as by posting the revised policy on this page with a new effective date. Any changes to this Online Privacy Policy will become effective when posted unless indicated otherwise.
