Our HistorySanta Barbara Teachers Federal Credit Union began in 1936, with a vision to offer financial services to all public school employees and their family members in Santa Barbara County. We are a financial cooperative, entirely owned by our membership. Our vision today is to become the primary financial institution of all our member-owners. Our StrengthSanta Barbara Teachers Federal Credit Union employs 20 local residents to manage over $230 million in assets. Our membership is over 10,000 strong. SBTFCU would not exist without our members, team of volunteers and employees.
